Workshop Heaven!!!

Attending a workshop by Ali Hohn has been on my wish list for a looooong time. When I found out she was coming to Utah I just couldn't pass up the opportunity. She uses a lot of "off camera flash" with her images. It is such a unique look. It adds a very rich depth to the colors and textures. I LOVE IT!

I peer pressured my bff, Angie, to go with me, and we had a wonderful day. We were literally shooting all day long. The lights actually allow you to shoot in the mid day sun and still get the most jaw dropping images. No more worries about raccoon eyes. I am so grateful to the girls that jumped right in to help me learn how to use the lights. It is quite different from natural light and took a bit of getting used to. What an amazing day. I learned so much. I have now entered into serious negotiations with my hubby to convince him that lights should be our next purchase. He is always a little nervous when I come home from a photography workshop. He was a bit hesitant at first but I'm wearing him down. :) Off camera flash... here I come! I can not wait to use lights at some of my sessions. It really is a fun look and can make a huge difference.

I'll post a few from my workshop in between editing my regular sessions.
